Pastor Trudy Pettibone
Pastor Trudy Pettibone spent over forty years serving pulpits, conducting community theology, and mentoring faith journeyers. She graduated from the University of South Florida (B.A. in Religious Studies), earned her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1991), and completed secondary advanced theological studies with a Master in Bible and Cognate Studies at Hebrew Union College (2002).
But Trudy's life is defined much less by what happened in academic halls and much more by what happened on an ordinary Monday in October of 1981—what she refers to as the “Melting Ice Event.” Despite years of churchgoers' routines, her spiritual landscape remained frozen. In a pivotal day of Scripture, prayer, and tears, the ice melted, and she met Jesus as her active Guide.
Now retired, she translates her linguistic credentials, pastoral experiences, and hard-earned realizations into practical discipling steps, designed to protect future generations of disciples from hollow pretense.
